So....Atlee and I just went and saw the new movie...'The Other Guys'

It was HILARIOUS! we were that couple in the movie that was dying laughing. It had awesome one liners, an actual story line and good comedy. It was one of Will Farrells best in while. It's a must see. Next is Dinner for Schmucks...we shall see.

Big Girl Time

Well....4 years of fashion and i'm buying....produce.

News Flash--there is not that much money in apparel. $8.00 is not a living, and making comission is also not that simple when we are in a bit of a recession. SO.....after a few weeks of interviews I am starting at:

Well I have been gone for a while just getting settled in my new home in Nashville, TN.

Just attended a wedding for one of my besties. I can say it was one of the weirdest feelings I have every experienced sitting watching her walk down that isle. It was so happy. I have decided I love weddings!!

Online shopping is the death of my bank account! These are some of my new favorite pieces:

LOVING the new hit with Denim.....shirts, skirts, vests and torn jeans. (Iused to not be a fan of torn jeans but I just indulged in a pair of torn jean shorts!)

This necklace is the "bird of paradise" from Anthropologie, I also love the neckline of the jacket, so much great detail. You cannot tell me that that dress is not precious. I might have to purchase that this weekend in KC! humm!

Lady Gaga and Beyonce Video Controversy

Most people have seen the new video by Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce for Telephone. Many people are offended by this video and saying it is rediculous she produced something like this; especially for bringing Beyonce into her crazy ways.

Personally I thought the video was very interesting, in a good way. The costumes and shoes were great. I almost feel like Gaga was paying tribute to McQueen (one of her best friends). He was so wild and out there, just like this video. It was wierd to see Beyonce in that type of roll but it made everyone away she can go outside the box like any other artist.

I think people are ridiculing Gaga for being creative, theaterish and bold. I look forward to award shows when she preforms because you know it's going to legit and theatrical with good vocals. So good job Gaga and B. Keep it up!

E-mail subject: Help Cinderella Find her Lost Shoe

So last night was my last sorority formal. I began the night trying to encourage everyone it was our senior year and to "Go Home or....Go Home!" Obviously meaning go big or go home. The night progressed to a pre-event dance party and then we left for the party. At the party because we are seniors we thought it was ok to cut the line of 50 people to the front and just walk in...so we did. Then people were grinding it up on the dance floor in the pitch black room, rave like, so I thought I would squeeze in between people and there dates because that's classy. Then my feet hurt so i proceeded to lay on the floor in the middle of the party. wow. Then we went to dickson street, bad idea. I stopped at the hot dog stand and argued with the vendor that it was ridiculous for a $3 hot dog. So after a little bit of bargaining i ended up with a free dog. Then I woke up this morning with 1 random shoe on my floor. As the day went on I kept wondering who's shoe was that and why do I have it. Then I checked my e-mail:

Subject: HELP CINDERELLA FIND HER ONE LOST SHOE!!!!!
Hey ladies!!I lost ONE of my shoes last night at formal. Cinderella story I guess! But I set them down under a table, went back and only found one. I don't know if it got mistakenly taken by someone thinking it was theirs, misplaced, or just stolen! But I really really need that shoe because I have my sister's wedding this coming Saturday which I'm leaving for on Thursday! Sooo if I don't have my shoe, this could be a problem for the maid of honor! :( It's the right shoe and they are light gold, 7.5 Gianni Bini strappy heels with a small zipper on the heel. I would appreciate ANY help I could get in finding my shoe! Thanks a bunch!!!

Luckily the shoe's owner laughed it of and also commented she saw me leave. What was I thinking....no one will ever know. And I forgot to mention I wore the shoe like a bangle while we were out as well.

Back in Action: Clogs

Well, I took a bit of leave. But I had to come back once I got this e-mail about clogs:

I am an avid reader of Who What Wear Daily and I was surprised to see this morning when I opened my e'mail the headline, "Go buy now: Clogs".

It's official, clogs are making a comeback from the 90's. I will not be partaking in this reoccurring fad, I already paid my dues to clogs during elementary school. You can make your own decision on weather to purchase the retro-footwear or make some money on eBay selling your old pairs as "vintage".

Anthropologie's Favorite Fall Fashions

Anthropologie has to be one of the best stores every created.

1. The Scarf. This is a perfect scarf for the fall. Great colors, can be warn for warmth or looks.

2. Purse. This leather bag is simple and realistic. It is so versitile it can be worn with almost anything. The bow spices it up to be more girly and the size is LARGE cause we all know women carry there lives in there purse.

3. Hello Beautiful Necklace. This necklace is awesome. It could make an outfit. It is delicate and feminine. Well worth the money.

This years fall fashions are so retro. Also many pieces are for the working day and on into the night. I think all 3 of these items would be great buys for the fall to brighten up your monochromatic working suit and then out with friends to get drinks after hours.

PRE-MADE Sandwiches

Why would you make a sandwich at 7 am and slop on globs of mustard, mayo, cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickles? Then wrap it all up tight in clear plastic to set in an open refrigerator for hours.GROSS!

Point 1: Who can honestly say they would enjoy eating that several hours after it was made. The bread is soggy, wilted lettuce and the cheese gets that slimy consistancy. Point 2: The condiments added are just unnesecary. Let people add there own. Lots of people don’t like mustard, it is a very acuired taste. Mayo is dairy as well as CHEESE. I am lactose intolerant. I spend more time scraping off the things I don’t like than I do consuming the actual sandwich. Point 3:Let’s keep is simple people. Meat and bread. Let us add what we want at the condiment stand. That way everyones happy. And if you are one of those peole who enjoys it pre-made because you are in a rush and don’t want to deal with making it yourself….you should set your clock forward so you have 5 extra minutes to perfect your own sammy.

My thoughtz on Zombieland

This movie was hilarious, yet a bit disturbing. I recently saw the movie and thought it had many comical parts. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) dominating the zombies, Ohio was a week boy trying to get the hot girl and constantly making awkward mistakes and the two condesending girls all taking on the end of the human race. I have had nightmares from the clown scene for 2 night now, mixed with the previews for the movie 2012 (a must see).

I would recommend this movie for a good laugh. I close my eyes at all the blood and guts parts but it could be endured. Is it predictable? VERY. But worth the $.
